The news of the death of Kyriakos Spyros from Sotira has caused shock.
The post by the President of the Famagusta Regional Sports Council, Yannis Karousos.
It was with deep sadness that I learned of the death of Kyriakos Spyros.
A person from our staff who stood out.
A partner who believed like few others in the vision of the Famagusta Regional Sports Council and fought passionately for our Organization to succeed.
His contribution was decisive in the effort to build the unified water supply of our province under the EOA — a project of strategic importance for our country.
Particularly moving and noteworthy is the fact that, as soon as his health ordeal began, he personally called me and said:
"I want to continue working from home, if you don't mind."
And so it happened.
Even in the midst of the battle of illness, while he was trying to recover, he remained present. He responded, he promoted cases, he ran his service with conscientiousness and a sense of responsibility. Rare virtues. Virtues that one does not encounter easily.
Kyriakos was not just a capable minister. He was a man of ethics, dedication, and deep faith in collective work.
My sincere condolences to his family and loved ones.
The Famagusta Municipal Council, by its decision, will cover his funeral expenses, as a minimum sign of honor and recognition of his contribution.
May his memory live forever.
