The Minister of Justice and Public Order, Costas Fitiris, attended the musical theater performance "TIMOKYPRA" at the War Museum of Athens, representing President Nikos Christodoulides, under whose auspices the event was held.
An announcement states that the performance by the Cultural Association "ROMIOSYNI" brought to life, through music, dance, theater and images, the centuries-old history of Cyprus, its struggles and its cultural heritage.
In his greeting, the Minister referred to the unbreakable bonds between Greece and Cyprus and expressed his gratitude for the long-standing support of the Greek people. He also stressed the importance of preserving historical memory and passing it on to younger generations.
"Culture is our memory and continuity, but also what we have a responsibility to hand down to future generations," he said.
