The Diocese of Constantia - Famagusta through its social Grocery offers all year round help to families who need our help. However, the effort is intensified for the holidays.
About 400 families have received help so far from the Social Grocery of the Metropolis of Constantia - Famagusta in view of the Easter holidays.
This was stated by the Protosyggelos of the Diocese, Archimandrite Augustinos Kkaras, pointing out that food, Easter products, basic necessities and help for some other needs were given, in order for no family to be left without the necessities during these Holy Days.
The Archimandrite stated that it is not possible for the Diocese to know all our fellow citizens who need help, and appealed to families in need, but also to families who know families who need to contact the Diocese so that it can be given in time. the help that can be given.
He also referred to the increase of needs due to the pandemic, as he pointed out that the families that need help have doubled in the last year, as many jobs in the world have been affected, since as is well known the majority of citizens in our Province are active in tourism sector, an area most affected by the pandemic.
