Arrest of a 19-year-old for burglary and theft in Famagusta

A 19-year-old man was arrested yesterday by the Police, in the context of the investigation of a case of illegal possession of property, as well as for night burglaries and thefts.

The 19-year-old testified that he was involved in five cases of night burglaries and thefts committed on June 30, 2019, in the province of Famagusta, where money and items worth a total of 1,140 euros were stolen.

A search of the 19-year-old's room yesterday turned up various items, which the suspect allegedly admitted to being part of the stolen property.

The 19-year-old was arrested on a warrant and was remanded in custody to facilitate investigations.
