The Famagusta Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI) and the Piraeus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), as twinned chambers since 1971, maintain a long-standing and close cooperation, which was further strengthened with the renewal of their twinning protocol in 2021. In the context of this long-standing relationship, a delegation of the FCCI, led by President Mr. Charalambos Manolis, visited Greece for a joint meeting with a delegation of the PCCI, under the chairmanship of Mr. Vasilis Korkidis.
The meeting took place on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Building, in a particularly warm and cooperative atmosphere. During the session, proposals for joint actions were discussed and specific decisions were reached to further strengthen cooperation. Upon completion of the session, the Presidents of the two Chambers exchanged commemorative gifts, confirming the long-standing and fraternal relationship that connects them.
Later that day, the EBEA delegation had the honor of being received by H.E. Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus to Greece, Mr. Stavros Avgoustides, at the Embassy of the Republic of Cyprus in Athens. The meeting was also attended by the President of the Association of Cypriot Professionals in Greece (SKEE), Ms. Despina Panagiotou Theodosiou. The discussion was constructive, with information on the work and actions of SKEE and an exchange of views on the possibilities of cooperation with EBEA. Of course, the issue of Famagusta was not missing from the discussion, with the EBEA delegation requesting the intervention of the Ambassador for the return of the city to its legal residents.
The same evening, the Piraeus Chamber of Commerce hosted an official dinner in honor of the President and members of the Board of Directors of the Famagusta Chamber of Commerce. The dinner took place in a cordial and hospitable atmosphere, confirming the deep mutual appreciation and the long-standing close bond between the two Chambers.
