This morning, members of the Aliens and Immigration Service, in collaboration with members of the Green Line Surveillance and Migration Flows Sub-Directorate, conducted coordinated operations in the Nicosia and Famagusta districts.
During the operations, a total of 30 foreign third-country nationals, who were residing illegally in the Republic of Cyprus, were identified and arrested.
17 foreigners were identified and arrested in the Nicosia district,
13 foreigners were identified and arrested in the Famagusta district.
All those arrested were transferred to the Menogia detention center (XOKAM), where the necessary procedures for repatriation to their countries of origin are being carried out.
