The Famagusta District Government Organization (FMAO) states in a statement that it signed an agreement today for the provision of "Business Process Design Services Using Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Modern Technologies", within the framework of the tender notice.
It is noted that "the agreement was signed at the offices of the Organization, with Grant Thornton Cyprus, in the presence of the representative of Sakis Moyseos, Head of Business Consulting and Public Sector Projects of Grant Thornton Cyprus, the President of EOAA, Yannis Karousos, and the General Director of EOAA, Nikos Mouaimis.
It is reported that "the collaboration is part of the digital transformation of the Famagusta Regional Administrative Organization and aims to improve internal processes, enhance efficiency and upgrade the services provided to citizens."
The President of the Famagusta Regional Authority, Yiannis Karousos, stated that the Organization is preparing a comprehensive plan for the implementation of Artificial Intelligence in all departments, from serving the public and issuing permits, to checking supporting documents and planning maintenance.

Our goal, he said, "is less bureaucracy, faster procedures and better service for everyone. Specific productivity indicators (KPIs) will be implemented in each service, so that the Organization operates measurably, transparently and with a clear assessment of progress."
He noted that "we aspire to be the first EOA in Cyprus to utilize Artificial Intelligence in practice for an Organization that is faster, smarter and fairer towards the citizen."
"The optimization of procedures through the use of modern technologies contributes to better and faster service to citizens, the reduction of administrative costs, and the adherence to the relevant schedules of the Organization," concluded Mr. Karousos.
