TEVEA: New batch of protective masks for businesses in the province of Famagusta

TEVEA issued an announcement for the second batch with a number of respiratory protection masks from the Ministry of Health to be distributed to the beneficiary companies.

It is recalled that based on the decision of the Council of Ministers and the instructions of the Ministry of Health, the beneficiaries of free masks are the employees in the following companies:

  1. Public transport (eg bus drivers)
  2. Indoor business spaces that serve the public
  3. Individuals working in direct public service positions in retail businesses (eg cash registers, citizen service, etc.)

Based on the instructions, 1 mask per employee will be given per day. It is emphasized that the masks will be given to companies for the number of their employees who serve the public. For example, workers in warehouses, kitchens, production, etc. cannot receive masks at this point. It is also clear that masks will not be given to business customers. The use of the mask by customers is recommended but not mandatory, nor is it the responsibility of the business.

Due to the limited number of masks, priority will be given to companies that did not receive masks during the first phase of the sale of masks from any other organization. Based on the availability of the masks, the corresponding number of masks will be given for the needs of each operation for 5 days.

The mask will be available on Monday, May 11, 2020 based on the following hours:

Monday 11 / 05 / 2020:

  • 08:00 - 10:30 ONLY for businesses that did not receive masks from any organization during the first phase of masking.
  • 10:30 - 12:30 & 14:00 - 17:00 for all beneficiary companies.
TEVEA Offices, 9 Antoni Papadopoulou, 2nd Building Koutsoulouka, Paralimni (tel. 23812414/99798315)

As long as there is stock, the mood will continue in the coming days in hours and places that will be announced tomorrow.

Interested parties are requested to contact the above telephone numbers in order to avoid overcrowding by phone, and to observe all safety and hygiene measures during the process of receiving the masks.

In order to receive masks, it is necessary for each company to complete a responsible statement which will be sent to the Ministry of Health for inspection.
