The Municipality of Paralimni-Dheryne presents the new song and music video titled "My Eastern Sea", an audiovisual creation dedicated to the eastern sea of Cyprus and the unique beauty of the Protaras Riviera.
In the lyrics, the sea is personified as a noblewoman of royal lineage. Through the music and imagery, the light, colors and unique character of the eastern coast of Cyprus are highlighted.
The music video presents almost the entire coastline of the Protaras Riviera, through images of characteristic landscapes and seaside spots of the Municipality of Paralimni-Dheryneia.
At the same time, reference is made to the occupied city of Famagusta, which has remained a prisoner of the Turkish army for 52 years.
The lyrics and melody of the song, as well as the editing of the music video, are by Konstantinos Odysseos, a Cypriot television personality, screenwriter, playwright and lyricist.
He has served as General Manager of the SIGMA television station and is General Manager of ANT1 Cyprus. He has also been a resident of Paralimni for 40 years, maintaining a long-standing and substantial bond with the area.
The photography was taken care of by Petros Giannakas, the makeup was done by Thea Chrys, while the music video features Rafaella Koutsia.
The music video was created with the sponsorship and collaboration of the Municipality of Paralimni-Dheryneia, as part of the effort to promote the Protaras Riviera and the wider area of the Municipality through modern forms of cultural and audiovisual expression.
"My Eastern Sea" will be officially presented today, Thursday, August 6, 2026, at 7:30 pm, via YouTube. Its launch will be broadcast simultaneously on the official social media of the Municipality of Paralimni-Dheryneia and the contributors.
