Wooden

Its name is not accidental, since it is housed in a tasteful wooden building in Vrysoules made of worked tree trunks, which make it look like a ranch. Wonderful, green yard.
Serves: Cypriot meze (€ 17) with forgotten recipes, such as the fresh homemade spaghetti of "tsknitziou" cut into the chili, yellow halloumi of Acheritos, mashed potatoes and "antinachtes".
Tip: Trump on the menu are the seasonal greens and the large Anathrikas mushrooms.

Plum

This stone-built two-room apartment has been carefully restored to every detail, so as not to lose its original identity. All meals are from traditional mommy recipes.
Serves: Authentic Cypriot meze (€ 14 small and € 16 regular) and sourdough bread of the owner's mother. Specialties, the zambouses (a type of cheese meatball with halloumi), the courgette and the potatoes from the area, the navels, the beef stew, the ofto and the purees.
Tip: Thursday, Friday and Saturday has live music.

River

The Liopetri River, the Cypriot "fjords", is an attraction for locals and foreigners. Another reason to visit it, however, is the tavern Potamos, which has been operating since 1963 in the heart of the river, with blue and white decoration.
Serves: Fish appetizers (€ 22) and a la carte dishes, mostly fish, but also meat. We love steamed mussels with basil and dill, spaghetti with crayfish and shrimp with garlic butter or fried.
Tip: Its location is unique on the island.

Musician

The tavern Mousikos is housed in a listed stone house in Sotira with arches and a large manicured courtyard with an arbor. It is famous not only for its picturesque character, but also for its very tasty food.
Serves: Cypriot meze (€ 15 the small and € 18 the regular). A la carte portions are also available. Try rabbit stew, kleftiko, kolokasi of the kapama and yachni area and their homemade halloumi.
Tip: The greens and meats are of their own production, while the fresh halloumi is made in the restaurant.

Countryside

The tavern-restaurant Exochi in Vrysoules really makes you feel that you are in the countryside. Spring here has its honor, when the pots and flowers of the yard bloom.
Serves: Cypriot seasonal delicacies (€ 16 regular and € 20 extra), a la carte food and fillets. Famous for the seasonal hares, the mushrooms of Anathrika in the extra meze, the rabbit "antinakto" extinguished with beer and lemon and the moussaka.
Tip: It has a very nice garden with a survivor playground.
