The Famagusta constituency elects 11 members of parliament to the House of Representatives. The following are the detailed biographies of the 11 elected members of parliament from the Famagusta district.

DISY

Nikos Georgiou

He was born in Larnaca in 1983. Nikos Georgiou is a Member of Parliament for Famagusta from the Democratic Rally, since June 2021.

He studied Law at the Democritus University of Thrace and currently works at the law firm GEORGIOS K. GEORGIOU D.E.P.E. He actively served the Student Movement as President of the Student Movement (MAKI) of NEDISY Famagusta, as a member, Secretary and President of the Central Student Council of Agios Georgios Lyceum in Larnaca and as a member of the Board of Directors of the Larnaca - Famagusta District Student Coordinating Committee. He actively served the Student Movement through the ranks of the F.P.K PROTOPORIA and as President of the Student Union of Cypriots of Komotini. He served as District Secretary of Local Government of DISY Famagusta and District Organizational Secretary of DISY Famagusta. In 2011 he was elected as a Municipal Councilor of Larnaca, a position to which he was re-elected in 2016. He currently serves as the District Secretary of DISY Famagusta. He is a member of the Famagusta Bar Association, ANORTHOSIS Famagusta and President of the POSEIDONAS Refugee Association in Larnaca.

George Karoullas

George Karoulas was born in Famagusta in 1972. George Karoulas is the Vice-President of the Democratic Rally (DISY). A milestone in his political career is his election as Member of Parliament for the Famagusta Electoral District in the 2016 Parliamentary Elections and his re-election in 2021. During his term as Member of Parliament, he served as a member of the Interior and Defense Committees as coordinator for the DISY Parliamentary Group. and the Education Committee of which he served as Deputy Chairman from June 2016 to December 2016. During the previous Parliamentary Period, he was Deputy Chairman of the Parliamentary Defense and Institutions Committees as well as a member of the Parliamentary Education Committees, as Coordinator, and Refugees.

George Lyssandridis

He was born in August 1983 in Limassol. In December 2022, he was appointed by the Council of Ministers to the position of President of the Pancyprian Refugee Union (www.pep.org.cy), a position to which he was reappointed in January 2025, while since December 2024 he has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Central Body for Equal Distribution of Burdens. In May 2023, he was elected to the Political Bureau of DISY, receiving 9196 preference crosses, a number that ranked him in first place.

AKEL

Nikos Kettiros

Nikos Savvas Kettiros was born in 1974 in Larnaca, where he resides. He comes from the occupied Lysi. He is married to Dimitra Nikoletti Kettirou and they have two children. He studied Journalism in Cyprus and then at the Hellenic Open University, studying Greek Culture. Since 2016 he has been a Member of Parliament for AKEL Left New Forces, while in the past he worked as a journalist for television stations. Since 2012 he has been a member of the EC of AKEL Famagusta and since 2015 he has been a member of the CC of AKEL. He is a member of the Parliamentary Committees for Refugees, Education, Health and Environment. He was a member of the Agriculture and Legal Affairs Committees and participated in European Parliament missions as a member of the Interparliamentary Audit Committee of Europol.

George Koukoumas

George Koukoumas was born in 1983 in Larnaca and comes from occupied Agastina and Avgorou in the province of Famagusta. He is a graduate of the Law School of Athens and holds an LLM in Public International Law from the University of London. He worked as a Fellow with Euro Committee on Foreign Affairs and the Committee on Civil Liberties and Justice of the European Parliament. Today, he works in the Press Office and in the Office of European Affairs and International Relations of the CoE. of AKEL. He is a member of K.E. of AKEL and the EU of AKEL Famagusta and also participates in the Educational Office and the Office of Immigration Policy of K.E. of AKEL. He represented AKEL in international and European conferences, as well as in actions of the European Parliamentary Group of the Left. He is also a member of the Secretariat of the Cyprus-Cuba Friendship Association and a member of the Cyprus Humanist Group. , President of the Progressive K.F. Athens (2000-2001) and member of the K.S. of EDON.

Giannakis Gabriel

Giannakis Gavriil was born in 1961 in Famagusta and is originally from Deryneia, where he resides. He is married to Chrystalleni Ioannou and they have two children. He graduated from the Department of Industrial Engineering and Wood Processing in Hungary and worked as a professor in the field of Carpentry-Furniture (1996-2008). He is a member of the Central Committee of AKEL. In 2008 he was elected District Secretary of the Famagusta EKA and since 2009 he has been a member of the Secretariat of the Executive Council of the EKA. Since 2017 he has been the Regional Responsible of AKEL in the free region of Famagusta. Since 2008 he has assumed the duties of MP of AKEL Left New Forces in the Famagusta district. He was re-elected in 2011 and from October 2020 he took up duties again in a vacant position as a runner-up. He is a member of the Parliamentary Committee on Agriculture and Natural Resources, the Parliamentary Committee on Transport, Communications and Works and the Parliamentary Committee on Energy, Commerce, Industry and Tourism. He is Honorary President of the Pancyprian Confederation of Primary Education Parents' Associations and the Pancyprian Parents' School. He served as Secretary of EDON Deryneia, Secretary of the AKEL Deryneia Complex Committee, President of the Parliamentary Committee on Agriculture and Natural Resources from 2011 to 2016 and member of the Cyprus Potato Trading Council from 2016 to 2020.

Linos Papagiannis

Linos Papagiannis was born in Paralimni on June 27, 1988, originally from occupied Famagusta, specifically from Agia Zoni. He is married to Markella Papetta, they have 2 sons, George and Pavlos. He studied business administration and accounting at Manchester Metropolitan University, while he speaks Greek and English in addition to Greek. In addition, he holds a diploma in Accounting & Finance, holds an APNEA Education System International level 1 diploma and holds an Open Water 20 Scuba Diving diploma. Before being elected as Member of Parliament for Famagusta with the National Popular Front, he served as a director in a private company. In 2016, he was elected for the first time as Member of Parliament for the Famagusta Electoral District with ELAM, for the 11th Parliamentary Period. As a Member of Parliament, he was a member of the Committee on Agriculture, Environment, and the Rules of Procedure of the House, while he also served as chairman of the ad hoc committee for addressing the demographic problem. At the same time, he is actively involved in other committees that he is not a member of. In addition, he has taken part in conferences concerning the Cyprus issue, the economy, and the low birth rate.

Linos Ioannis Hadjigeorgiou

Linos Ioannis Hadjigeorgiou was born on May 14, 1997 in Paralimni and comes from occupied Famagusta (Agia Zoni). He graduated from the private secondary school "Xenion High School" in Paralimni and immediately after served his military service, which he successfully completed in 2016. The same year he was admitted to the Law School of the European University Cyprus, from which he successfully graduated in 2020, with a thesis on the "Legal History of the Cyprus Problem". He holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Commercial Law from the University of Sunderland, with a thesis on the topic "The Problems of the Cyprus Investment Program - Golden Passports". In parallel, he holds diplomas of specialization in criminal and civil case handling skills, as well as a diploma attending Byzantine music lessons. From a young age he joined the ranks of the National Popular Front (E.L.A.M.), actively participating in the activities of the movement. He has served as President of the E.L.A.M. Youth Front, while today he is Deputy Spokesperson, member of the Political Council and an executive of the Famagusta District Committee. Professionally, he is active as a combative lawyer, specializing in cases covering a wide range of legal fields, such as criminal law, lawsuits and civil offenses, corporate and commercial law, administrations, banking law and real estate. He maintains his own law firm in the Free District of Famagusta (Paralimni). At the same time, he is actively involved in social solidarity actions, supporting vulnerable groups and disadvantaged citizens, as well as in initiatives for the protection of the environment. In his free time, he is an amateur hunter, fisherman and sportsman.

DIKO

Zacharias Koulias

Zacharias Koulias is a member of parliament for the Famagusta constituency of the Democratic Party (DI.KO) since 1999 until today. He studied Law at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He has been practicing law since 1984 and is fluent in Greek and English. He served as a member and chairman of the parliamentary commissioners of the Cypriot House of Representatives. Member of parliament for the Famagusta constituency of the DI.KO. (1999-2011), independent (2011-2016) and of the DI.KO. since 2016. He served as a member and chairman of the following parliamentary commissioners of the Cyprus House of Representatives: Chairman of the Committee for Monitoring Development Plans and Public Expenditure Control since 2016. Deputy Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Finance and Budget. Vice Chairman and then Chairman of the Committee on Communications and Works from 2006 - 2011. Member of the Parliamentary Committee on Defense. Member of the Parliamentary Committee on Refugees - Trapped - Missing - Sick. Member of the Committee on Interior. Member of the Health Committee. Member of the Committee on Institutions, Values ​​and Commissioner for Administration. One of the four members of the Committee on the Cyprus file from 2006 - 2011. Diana Constantinides is a London-based barrister, a member of the Bar of England and Wales, specialising in international criminal law, public international law and human rights. She is also Vice-President of Direct Democracy.

He was born in Famagusta in 1972. He is President of the Limassol Dental Association and a member of the Board of Directors of the Pancyprian Dental Association.
