A 7-year-old girl who was taken yesterday afternoon after a drowning incident in a hotel swimming pool in Protaras ended up in the Makarios Hospital.
Specifically yesterday 4/8/24 at noon the unfortunate little girl was found unconscious in a hotel swimming pool in Protaras where she was staying with her parents and after being pulled out by bystanders she was then taken by ambulance to Famagusta General Hospital in Paralimni where after first aid was provided she recovered .
Afterwards, the little girl was taken by ambulance to the Makarios Hospital in Nicosia, where during the transport she developed complications, resulting in her being intubated and placed on a ventilator. Unfortunately at 0210 the little girl died in the Intensive Care Unit of the Makarios Hospital.
The circumstances under which the girl was found unconscious in the hotel pool are being investigated by the Famagusta Police Department.
