The Municipality of Paralimni-Dheryneia, in collaboration with the Famagusta Public Works Department, completed the project involving works in the surrounding area of the Church of Saint George in the Municipal District of Acheritos.
As part of the action, new lighting was installed to highlight the Byzantine chapel, new benches were placed to serve visitors, and an information sign was created with the history of the church and its importance to the community. In addition, the existing path was completed and shaped, significantly improving the visitor experience.
In his statements, the Mayor of Paralimni-Derynia, Giorgos Nikolettos, stated that "our goal is to highlight the identity and uniqueness of each Municipal District, through projects that enhance our cultural heritage."
