Acheritou / Vrysoules: Drunk with five times the amount of alcohol caused a car accident

A 38-year-old man was taken to the Police Department, who was driving while he was drunk with more than five times the amount of alcohol and caused a car accident.

According to an announcement by the Police, around 11 on the night of Sunday 27/2/2022, a 38-year-old man, while driving his vehicle on Antoni Riala Street in the community of Agios Georgios Acheritos / Vrysoullon, lost control of his vehicle at some point on the road, resulting in to collide left according to its course in a parked vehicle and to stop causing material damage to both vehicles.

Members of the Deryneia Police Station went to the scene and from a preliminary breathalyzer test carried out at the age of 38, it was found that he had 120μg instead of 22μg of alcohol on his exhalation.

The 38-year-old was taken to the Deryneia Police Station and after being charged in writing, he was released to be summoned later before a Court.

The Deryneia Police Station is investigating.
