The start of work on the Acherito Linear Park was recently visited by the Mayor of Paralimni - Deryneia, Mr. George Nikolettos, accompanied by the Deputy Mayor of Acherito, members of the Municipal Council, the Municipal Engineer, as well as representatives of the company that undertook its design and construction.
The Project for the creation of the "Acheritos Linear Park" concerns the regeneration and transformation of the area into a linear park with the creation of walking paths, a social gathering space, paved areas, appropriate landscaping and appropriate lighting. The purpose of the project is to revitalize the urban environment and provide citizens with a space for safe walking and recreation.
The project budget amounts to €819.583,43 (excluding VAT). The project is being implemented within the framework of the Cohesion Policy Program "THALYA 2021-2027" - with EU co-financing. The Municipality of Paralimni - Deryneia thanks the excellent cooperation with the General Directorate of Development of the Ministry of Finance and the Directorate of European Funds of the Ministry of Interior.
