This year marks the 46th anniversary of the occupation of Acheritos, which fell to the Turks on August 31, 1974 during the Second Phase of the Turkish Invasion.
The memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 30, 2020, at 08.30am from the Church of Agios Dimitrios in the settlement of Ag. Georgiou Vrysoullon - Acheritou.
The event is under the auspices of the Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Nikos Christodoulidis.
This will be followed by Trisagio and the laying of wreaths at the monument of the fallen and missing in the Settlement of Ag. Georgiou Vrysoullon - Acheritou.
The presence of all of us is necessary and imperative.
