The pandemic gathering was successfully held on Monday, March 9, 2026, in the Municipal District of Acheritos, within the framework of the open meetings organized by the Municipality of Paralimni - Deryneia with the aim of directly informing residents and strengthening the dialogue between the local authority and society.
During the meeting, the most important projects that have been completed, those that are in progress, as well as projects that are planned both in the Municipal District of Acheritos and in the entire Municipality were presented in detail. At the same time, the citizens had the opportunity to submit suggestions, concerns and proposals, actively contributing to the process of dialogue and participation that the Municipality promotes.
The event was addressed by the Deputy Mayor of Acheritou, Mr. Michalis Kaounas, and the Mayor of Paralimni - Deryneia, Mr. Giorgos Nikolettos, while relevant audiovisual material was also shown with projects and interventions being implemented in the area.
In his greeting, the Mayor of Paralimni - Deryneia, Mr. George Nikolettos, emphasized that the guiding principle of the municipal authority's efforts is the continuous upgrading of the quality of life of the residents and the implementation of projects that improve the daily lives of citizens. As he stated, the Municipality is moving forward with a plan and cooperation, pursuing a modern, functional and humane Municipality for all residents, while he pointed out the importance of dialogue and citizen participation in decision-making processes.
The Municipality of Paralimni - Deryneia will continue to organize nationwide gatherings in all municipal districts, giving residents the opportunity to be informed about the projects and actions of the local authority, as well as to express opinions and suggestions on issues concerning the development and daily life of the Municipality.
