Xylofagou puts on its festive season again this year and organizes the International Potato Festival. An institution completely upgraded this year where from 19:00 music and dance will flood the streets of the community to end up with a patina in the festival area. Cyprus, Aegean, Asia Minor marry harmoniously through dance steps accompanied by traditional instruments.
While for the climax, Glykeria and Melina Kana combine their voices again accompanied by the excellent Haris Makris and Dimitris Mesimeris to take us on a journey with their unique performances. Glykeria, the most genuine popular voice of her generation, who has sealed with her performances for more than four decades many and demanding genres of song, always excites her audience by offering them authentic entertainment.
Melina Kana having definitely left her own imprint on the artful folk song and on our souls, manages every time with her tender performances on stage to convey to us the passion and truth of everything she sings.
At the same time, at the festival site, you will be given the opportunity to visit an agricultural exhibition as well as a presentation of traditional professions.
