The goal of the Ministry of Health is to solve the problems that exist in public hospitals, in the most efficient way, Michalis Damianos said today.
In statements during his visit to the General Hospital of Famagusta, the Minister said that his visit is part of "the visits to the various nursing centers in Cyprus so that we can listen to the Directors and in general the staff and the public, about any problems that the hospital and see how we can deal with them".
When asked whether he knows of specific problems for the Famagusta Hospital, Mr. Damianou replied that "there are some issues we want to discuss and we will discuss them during the day".
Asked to say whether specific reports will be made, the Minister replied that "no specific report will be made, we will see how the problems are resolved and how we proceed. Problems will always exist, our goal is to solve problems where we can and in the most efficient way."
Asked whether the Ministry of Health is concerned about the viruses appearing in the community at this time, he replied that any such situations are managed by the Medical Services of the Ministry of Health. "There is nothing to worry about at this time, there is nothing to say," he noted.
