Time Out magazine, the ultimate entertainment guide, is successfully organizing the largest gastronomic institution in Cyprus, which aims to raise and reward the quality of catering in Cyprus. It is an international institution, organized by almost all Time Out magazines in the world. Time Out has a great responsibility and consistency to its readers, but also to restaurant owners, owners and chefs, who seek to stand out in the highly competitive dining space. The aim of the awards is to continuously upgrade the domestic gastronomy, but also to reward the remarkable efforts.
This year, the Time Out Eating Awards are 13 years old! With love for Nature and the gifts that it generously offers us, we reward the best of taste, those who respect it and masterfully highlight it, creating the most delicious memories of the year!
This year the categories are as follows:
New Arrival (restaurants opened from May 2016 to May 2017), Fish, International Cuisine, Mediterranean Cuisine, Hotel Restaurant (ie restaurants that operate within a hotel unit and are excluded from other categories), Bar / Restaurant, Tower, Tavern Price (restaurants that serve quality food at an affordable price) and Best Beer place by KEO BEER.
As every year, this year the restaurant will be awarded, which will collect the most votes from the readers of Time Out as 'The favorite of the readers' and is independent of the award categories.
Restaurants, in order to be a candidate in each category, must ensure high quality and continuously improve their services. Based on the quality of the food, the presentation of the dishes, the hygiene, the atmosphere inside and outside the restaurant, the flow of the dishes, the proper service, the wine list and the product-price ratio, the final choice of restaurants in each category is made. . Candidate restaurants are selected by a special committee, which consists of connoisseurs of gastronomy specializing in catering.
Honorary awards are given to the Chef of the Year, the Cypriot Product of the Year and the restaurant with the Best Coffee.
