The sculpture park of the Municipality of Ayia Napa has recently been enriched with 13 new sculptures, creations of 10 artists from abroad.
According to an announcement by the Municipality of Ayia Napa, last Friday, February 17, the 13 sculptures, which were created by the ten artists who recently participated in the Sculpture Park, were transferred from the Sculpture Symposium to their permanent installation site, the Sculpture Park. works of the AD Phase of the 4th Sculpture Symposium, so that the space remains free for the conduct of the B. Phase of the 4th Sculpture Symposium, which will take place from 01-30 March 2017.
The transfer was made, as stated in the announcement, by the technical crew of the Municipality under the guidance of the Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Symposium Mr. Kiki Konstantinos and the supervision of the Cultural Officer of the Municipality Mrs. Maria Tofini.
Phase II will feature artists Thierry Lauwers from Belgium with "Jason and Medea on the Argo", Russian Chernoglasov Igor Alekseevich with "The Violoncello", Gissella Garcia from Uruguay and "Uroborus" , Anna Korver from New Zealand, with the play "Hinemoana", Thierry Ferreira from Portugal with the creations of "Cubicantique" and "The Bridge of the Park", the Frenchman Jose Kalala Bakajika with the play "The Greek Mind", Mikhail Sobolev from Russia, who participates with two works, "Icarus" and "Athena with Owl", Vassilis Vassili from Canada with the work "In Search of Hell", Serhii Sbitniev from Ukraine, who will create two works , "Little Mermaid" "Leda and the Swan" and also the Ukrainian artists Yuriy & Lyudmyla Mysko, who will create the works "The Birth of Aphrodite A", "The Birth of Aphrodite B", "Iris - Goddess of Rainbow" , «Hourglass».
