The Election Service reminds that in the parliamentary elections all the citizens of the Republic, aged 18 and over, who have their usual residence in Cyprus and are registered in the electoral roll, have the right to vote.

Therefore, all beneficiaries are invited to apply in time for registration in the electoral roll, so that they can vote in the upcoming parliamentary elections of May 22, 2016. The last day for applications is April 2, 2016.

For the purposes of the parliamentary elections, young people who will reach the age of 18 until 22.5.2016, which is the date of the elections, also have the right to register in the electoral list. The application in this case, must be submitted by 2.4.2016 at the latest.

It is noted that, since the 2nd of April 2016 is Saturday, arrangements have been made, on this day, to operate, to serve the new voters, the local Offices of the District Administrations and the Election Service, until 2 p.m.

It is further reminded that, after April 2, 2016, no new registration and / or change can be made in the electoral roll. For this, new voters are invited to submit their application in time.

Application forms can be obtained from the local Offices of the District Administrations and the Citizen Service Centers, from the Election Service and the website of the Ministry of Interior (www .cy).

It is noted, finally, that certification of the application for registration by a community leader is not required for those citizens who have not completed the 25th year of their age.
