According to the Police, yesterday afternoon, members of YKAN, after information, stopped and searched in Ayia Napa a car driven by a young man, 23 years old, with the co-driver of his 21-year-old brother, a private employee from Aradippou.

During the stop of the car, the 21-year-old threw on the ground a white tissue which after being picked up was found to contain a quantity of green dry cannabis plant material weighing one gram, which was taken as a presumption.

The 21-year-old was arrested for a self-inflicted crime and transferred to the offices of YKAN Famagusta, where, during interrogation, he admitted in writing the commission of the crime and was taken into custody.

A search of their home followed with the written consent of the 21-year-old without finding anything illegal.

The 23-year-old was summoned and went to the offices of YKAN Famagusta where he was interrogated in writing without any evidence against him and he was released.

The case is being investigated by YKAN Famagusta.
