For January 29, 2018, the case for the Agia Napa SPE was set

For January 29, 2018, the case was set before the Permanent Criminal Court of Larnaca - Famagusta for the case of SPE Agia Napa, ie cases of embezzlement, theft by directors or company officials, offenses related to the activity of the company, and the Cooperative Companies that is, a total amount of 330 thousand euros.

Antonis Kallenos, 56, from Ayia Napa, Adamos Manolis Georgiou, 65, from Liopetri and Nestoras Nestoros, 35, from Sotira are charged in the case. It is noted that the 56-year-old also faces offenses related to the Law on Cooperative Companies.

Today, Nestoras Nestoros responded negatively to the five accusations leveled against him by the representative of the Prosecution Authority, Thanasis Papanikolaou. In particular, he denied allegations of conspiracy to commit embezzlement, misappropriation of property through false representations, inciting the execution of a document with false representations, false accounts for the purpose of embezzlement and money laundering.

In the previous trial, the other two defendants also responded negatively to the accusations, while Antonis Kalenos denied three additional accusations regarding a false statement and concealment of data.

Following this development, the President of the Criminal Court set January 29, 2018 as the date for the commencement of the hearing, and until then the defendants have been released on the same restrictive terms as before.

It is noted that the case is only one of a total of 26 cases investigated by the Police in the former SPE of Ayia Napa.
