Today was scheduled for the suspect to answer before the Criminal Court whether or not he accepts the charges.

However, due to the planning of the House, it was not possible to recite the accusations to the suspect.

On Monday, November 9, 2015 at around 15.45 at noon, while Panagiotis Solomou was driving his tractor on a dirt road and was heading to his field behind the Avgoros Technical School, he was shot in the back. The shot hit the 67-year-old in the back of the head, in the right shoulder and in the back.

Despite his injuries, Solomou managed to stop the tractor, got off and called his son, to whom he reported the incident and asked him to pick him up to take him to the hospital. The 67-year-old had reported to his son before he lost consciousness that "Kallis played with me", while he also named the perpetrator of the shooting when he was at the Famagusta General Hospital.

The victim's son went to the area where his father was, picked him up and transported him to the Famagusta General Hospital in Paralimni, where the doctor on duty found that he had gunshot wounds to the right temple, as well as to the right shoulder.

The 65-year-old was arrested on the night of November 9 and when he was taken to the detention facilities of the Famagusta Police Department, he denied any involvement in the case, saying that he did not leave his house at all that day.

However, the Police have a testimony according to which the suspect left his house, while another testimony bears that the victim and the alleged perpetrator had quarreled in the last days.
