Police are investigating a case of assault and causing serious bodily harm against two people from Paralimni.

According to the Police, two brothers aged 23 and 19 from Frenaros reported to the Famagusta Police Department in Paralimni yesterday that on February 13, while they were in a nightclub in Paralimni, they were attacked by six people, including two people from Paralimni. 21 and 20 years old. The 21-year-old is a national guard.

According to the complaint, the cause of the incident was a misunderstanding between the 23-year-old complainant and the 20-year-old in relation to a girl employee of the nightclub.

After the attack, the two complainants visited the Famagusta General Hospital where they were examined by a doctor on duty.

The 23-year-old was diagnosed with abrasions on his back and a bruise on his left forearm and after being sutured he was fired.

The 19-year-old had abrasions on his back and arms and a head injury and was discharged from the hospital with instructions.

On February 16, the 19-year-old visited a private clinic in Paralimni due to pain and underwent surgery in which one of his two testicles was removed.

Arrest warrants were obtained against the two suspects, yesterday they were arrested by the Police and today they are expected to be brought before the Famagusta District Court for the issuance of detention orders.
