Shortly afterwards, a 46-year-old foreigner was found and arrested who was in possession of the keys of two of the stolen cars as well as a quantity of drugs.
The incident, which happened on Saturday, between the hours of 2 p.m. and 4.30 p.m. yesterday, it was reported to the police who came to the above conclusion after examinations carried out at the scene.
These are two TOYOTA cars in red and blue. The third car is a red HYUNDAI brand. The value of the three cars amounts to approximately € 18,000.
Shortly afterwards, during the tests, two of the three cars were found. One was parked in an underground parking lot of an apartment building and the other was parked on N. Kazantzaki Street in the province of Famagusta.
Near one of the two cars, a 46-year-old foreigner was found in possession of a small amount of drugs as well as a bundle of car keys. The keys were found to belong to both cars.
The 46-year-old was arrested and detained, while during interrogation he was allegedly unable to give satisfactory explanations regarding the possession of the keys of the above cars.
The two found cars were taken for further scientific examinations. TAE Famagusta in collaboration with YKAN Famagusta are investigating the case.
