The BMW 4 Series has been very popular since its launch (2013 with the Coupe), as evidenced by the nearly 400.000 total sales worldwide by the end of 2016.
The 2013 Coupe was then framed by the Cabrio and Gran Coupe to create a complete family of models. The cars are manufactured in Munich (Coupe), Regensburg (Cabrio) and Dingolfing (Gran Coupe).
The new Series 4 models are expected to continue their success with an emphasis on style and renewed suspension.
Sporty look
Redesigned LED headlights replace xenon units of outgoing models. Also, all models in the range are equipped with LED headlights as standard. The use of LED taillights for the first time in the 4 Series contributes to the dynamic appearance of the car. Modified air vents, exclusive elements for each version and the new rear apron add impressive touches.
Inside, the new galvanized details, chrome elements and glossy black center console enhance the sense of exclusive, high quality. Another striking feature is the double seam on the dashboard, while three new wallpaper colors along with three new interior decorative stripes provide even more personalization options.
Two new exterior colors Snapper Rocks Blue and Sunset Orange are available exclusively for the models of the new 4 Series, while there are also new rim designs specifically for each version of the Advantage, Sport Line, Luxury Line and M Sport equipment.

The new 4 Series Coupe and 4 Gran Coupe now have tighter suspension adjustment for sportier handling without compromising driving comfort. Both lateral and longitudinal accelerations have been improved, regardless of vehicle load. This applies to M Sport and Adaptive suspensions in addition to the standard suspension. All new Series 4 models offer more reliable straight-line stability and a clearer steering system. High performance tires are available as factory equipment for all models above 430d and 430i.
31 versions of models and engines
All petrol and 4-cylinder diesel engines fitted to the new 4 Series come from the latest BMW EfficientDynamics engine family and adopt TwinPower Turbo technology. There are three petrol engines (420i, 430i and 440i) and three diesel versions (420d, 430d & 435d xDrive) available for all models in the new 4 Series.
The power of the petrol models starts from 184 hp in the 420i and reaches 326 hp in the 440i (combined cycle consumption: 7,9 - 5,5 l / 100 km, CO2 emissions in the combined cycle: 185 - 127 g / km). In diesel engines, the power range starts from 190 hp in the 420d to 313 hp in the 435d xDrive (combined cycle consumption: 5,9 - 4,0 l / 100 km, CO2 emissions in the combined cycle: 155 - 106 g / km).
The BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe is available with another diesel version, namely the 418d with 150 hp (combined cycle consumption: 4,5 - 4,1 l / 100 km, CO2 emissions in the combined cycle: 118 - 107 g / km).
A total of twelve model versions are available with the BMW xDrive, while the 435d xDrive is available with the all-wheel-drive system in its standard equipment, in Coupe, Cabrio and Gran Coupe versions.
New navigation and instrument screens
The optional Navigation system for the new 4 Series now includes a large icon screen that is easier to use. The layout of the icons can always be adjusted and the most up-to-date version of the content of the linked menu can be displayed, which makes the functions even more intuitive for the users.
The models of the new 4 Series are optionally available with Multifunctional Instrument Display, which offers the driver the option of choosing a different display for all indications depending on the desired driving experience program.
The BMW M4 Coupe and M4 Cabrio are now available with customizable full-function LED headlights as standard. The newly designed full-LED taillights renew the look and give a technical touch. In addition, several stylistic elements give the cabin of the sportier versions of the Series 4 an even more sophisticated feel. Both M4 models have the updated version of the Professional Navigation system and other features of the ConnectedDrive.
