The Democratic Party was the first party according to the official results of the 2016 Parliamentary Elections in Sotira, with a percentage of 50,07% and 1139 votes and a loss of 5,7% compared to the previous Parliamentary Elections of 2011. DIKO emerged as the second party with 12,53% (285 votes) and a loss of 1,7%, third EDEK which surpassed the traditional third party in Sotira, that of AKEL, with a total of 10,81% (246 votes) and an increase of 2,8% and fourth the party of the Left with 10,33% (235 votes) and a decrease of 5,1%. It is followed by the Citizens' Alliance with 6,81% (155 votes), ELAM with 2,95% (67 votes), Solidarity with 2,15% (49 votes), the Ecologists' Movement - Citizens' Cooperation with 1,71% ( 39 votes), the People's Breath with 1,32% (30 votes), the Party for Animals with 0,53% (12 votes), the Social Movement Flag with 0,44% (10 votes) and the Organization of Justice Fighters (OAD) with 0,35% (8 votes).
Of the 3.519 registered voters, 66,35% (2.369) voted with 33,65% abstention (1.184) with 78 invalid (3,29%) and 16 abstentions (0,68%).
