With the new installment of € 500 from our lenders, the total amount of financial assistance disbursed by the ESM to Cyprus will amount to € 6,3 billion, out of the approximately € 9 billion committed by the ESM for our country, at the beginning of the financial assistance program.
It should be noted, however, that a five-year one billion euro bond matures on 1 November. Of the 1000 million, 863m are external borrowing. This loan was made in November 2010 under the ministry of Charilaos Stavrakis. According to our information, part of this loan will be covered by the ESM 500 million installment.
In the meantime, the Government has already hired four international companies to organize meetings with interested investors, in view of the new entry of the country in the international market for lending. These are Barclays, Goldman Sachs International, HSBC and Nomura.
