A man from Ormidia admitted, according to the Police, that he was illegally drawing water from the Achna dam and transferred it to a tank that he maintains in his community.
Yesterday morning, members of the Xylotympos Police Station and members of the Water Department, after information, visited the dam of `Achna where they located a water hose and a generator with which water was transferred from it to a tank, owned by a 51-year-old from Ormidia.
The 51-year-old was called by the Police and went to the area. He admitted, according to the Police, that he was illegally drawing water from the dam and made a voluntary deposit.
Police seized the water hose and the generator as evidence, while the 51-year-old was charged and released to be summoned later.
The Xylotympou Police Station is examining the case.
