A case of theft by an employee of the amount of 6 thousand euros from the orchard in which he worked in Ayia Napa, is being investigated by the Famagusta TAE.
According to the Police, a 41-year-old owner of an orchard resident in Ayia Napa, complained that a 51-year-old employee from Paralimni, who worked as a cashier in his orchard in Ayia Napa, stole from him the amount of six thousand euros during the period between March 17 to April 25, 2016.
Specifically, the 41-year-old stated that from a check he made through the closed circuit monitoring that he has installed in the fruit shop, he found the theft, noting that he will carry out a more detailed check of the data recorded since he suspects that the stolen amount is higher.
The 51-year-old woman was arrested last night on a warrant for her arrest and was taken into custody.
The Famagusta District Court issued a four-day detention order against the suspect to facilitate investigations.
