According to the Police, around four yesterday afternoon, a 67-year-old farmer was in his field, when for a reason unknown until now, he was shot with a shotgun. A 65-year-old fellow villager allegedly shot him.
The 67-year-old notified his son who went to the field, picked him up and transported him to the General Hospital of Famagusta in Paralimni.
The doctors on duty found that the 67-year-old had a wound on the back right side of his head and his right shoulder. His health condition is considered serious but out of danger.
The 67-year-old named a 65-year-old man from Avgorou to the Police, against whom an arrest warrant has been issued and he is wanted.
According to the Police, the reasons for which the 65-year-old allegedly shot his neighbor have not been made known yet.
