Massacre of Agia Napa: The information that unfolded the tangle…

An information that reached the Assistant Chief of Police Stelios Papatheodorou was the one that led the investigators in the footsteps of the lifer Charalambos Andreou but also in the arrests that followed for the quadruple murder in Ayia Napa.

This was stated today before the Permanent Criminal Court of Larnaca - Famagusta by the sergeant of the TAE Headquarters Giannos Orfanos, who participated in the investigative team and testified as a prosecution witness.

The information stated that a forest firefighter, whose father maintains a property near the racetrack and his girlfriend named Sotia were involved in the quadruple murder. Upon receiving the information, he testified, the investigators arrested Charalambos Andreou, who with the information he had given at the time helped them significantly.

He revealed that he had rented a villa in Protaras to spend the holidays in the area, as he initially claimed. Albanian fugitive Alex Bureli, who was allegedly the main perpetrator of the crime, lived there.

The key to the mansion was received on June 20, 2016 by Sofia Grigoriou (Benny's girlfriend), who is the fourth defendant in the case.

Andreou, as reported, confessed to involvement in the crime, admitting, among other things, that he was the man who led the executors from the house in Protaras to the restaurant where the massacre of June 23, 2016 took place.

It is recalled that Sotia Neophytou was sentenced to five months in prison due to her limited role in the case and has already been released.

Charalambos Andreou will testify as a key prosecution witness in the trial, most likely next Monday.
