For the second time after 42 years, a divine service was performed yesterday in a climate of deep emotion at the Holy Temple of the Ascension in Occupied Acheritos.
According to statements by the Mayor of Acheritos, Mr. Michalis Kaounas, more than 400 people attended the divine service which was performed by the head of the Elder Christodoulos Christodoulos of the church of Agios Dimitrios Vrysoulos.
Particularly moving was the atmosphere of the divine service as it is the second time that a divine service is performed in the occupied church of Acheritos and the first time for many refugees of Acheritos who had the opportunity to visit their occupied homes today.
