The Police, continuing its activity to combat the phenomenon of electronic gambling, carried out coordinated operations yesterday.
Around 4.15pm. members of the Famagusta Police Department and the Larnaca Police Department, in collaboration with members of the Office for Combating Intellectual Property Theft and Illegal Betting of the Police Headquarters and the Forensic Electronic Data Laboratory, entered with a court warrant in Agatato
During the search, 8 computer towers were identified and seized as evidence, which are believed to have provided casino gambling services (electronic gambling) and 10 monitors, 4 cameras, a recorder (DVR) and other items.
In another operation, which took place around 6.30pm. by members of the Limassol OPE at a betting agency in the Limassol district, two computers were found to be in operation and to have illegal electronic games installed.
The two computers along with their screens, the sum of € 220, two printers and various coupons were taken from the scene as evidence.
The person in charge of the premises and another person were interrogated in this case and were released to be charged at a later stage.
Investigations into the above cases are ongoing, while Police campaigns will continue.
