"Now we are all Greeks"

The move is an initiative of the site administrators international.democraciarealya.es and through all social networks a coordinated effort is made to send a message of support to our country.

In detail, the announcement:

On February 10, the unelected government of Greece adopted a new package of austerity measures, monstrous and destructive, which was adopted by the Greek Parliament (199 deputies in favor, 101 against) on 12 February.

With this new austerity plan the minimum wage is reduced by 22% and frozen for three years, collective agreements are simply abolished, 15.000 layoffs are foreseen in the public sector while 150.000 positions will be destroyed through non-renewal.

The Greek people are rising up with courage against this policy of social terrorism. Amid the deafening silence of the media, the demonstrations are multiplying as well as the general strikes, despite the violent repression.

Greeks need international solidarity, to which they call.

To answer this call! We are all Greeks!

Their mobilization hits the wall of a European and international dictatorship, that of the stock markets and the troika (EU, European Bank, IMF) that imposed austerity measures on the Greek people as well as an unelected government.

The European governments, and in particular the French government, are involved in this dictatorship and are pursuing policies in other countries that follow the same path. Greece is for them nothing more than a laboratory before generalization. The situation will be further aggravated by the project of the new European Treaty, which obliges the introduction of the "golden rule" in our constitutions.

We, too, like the Greeks, refuse to sacrifice the people on the altar of money.

To take our lives back into our own hands.
