The vote in the Plenary Session of the Hellenic Parliament will take place today at noon, on the bill for the change of gender identity. |

As it became clear in yesterday's discussion, the vote on the relevant bill depends on a thread as there is a serious disagreement between ANEL and five SYRIZA MPs have serious objections to individual articles of the bill. New Democracy, Golden Dawn, the Union of Centers and the KKE have stated that they will vote against the bill.

On the other hand, Potami said yesterday that he would vote in favor, while the Democratic Alliance, whose stance is likely to judge the outcome, will decide a few hours before a meeting of its parliamentary group.

With the data so far, the positive vote of 139 deputies of SYRIZA, the 6 deputies of Potamio and 2 deputies of the Democratic Alliance (of Thanasis Theocharopoulos and Theodoros Papatheodorou) should be considered certain. An important role will also be played by the stance taken by the 8 independent MPs, the majority of whom opposed the bill.

In yesterday's debate, Justice Minister Stavros Kontonis attacked ND, accusing Kyriakos Mitsotakis of remaining a hostage of extreme voices within his party, while Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras denounced the Church's stance on imposing his resignation.

New Democracy has submitted its own bill, voting against the bill as a whole.
