"Passport tourism is not a solution", demonstrated in Strovilia members of the "Famagusta I return" movement, who closed the roadblock for two hours. The event started at 11 in the morning and ended at one in the afternoon… The members of the Movement held the event on the occasion of the completion of nine years since the opening of the roadblocks. They protested against the failure to reach a solution and expressed fears that the invasion and occupation would be consolidated, with the constant movement of people through the roadblocks. They said in their statements that the movement through specific points on the front line generates complacency, which has a negative impact on the struggle for solution and return.
The members of the Movement expressed their determination to return to the city of Evagoras and demanded the return of Famagusta "here and now". At the roadblock of Strovilia, a Trisagio was performed and a prayer for return was returned.
During the event, a minute of silence was observed in memory of the late Mayor of Famagusta Andreas Pougiouros.
