The European Commission supports the opening of the Deryneia roadblock

The European Commission supports the opening of two new Green Line crossing points in Deryneia and Lefka-Apliki and, as further practical support, notes that it is ready to contribute financially to the cost of the works for the opening of the crossing points.

According to a communication, the Commission today amended Regulation (EC) No 866/2004 of the Council regulating the passage of goods and persons through the Green Line in Cyprus.

With this modification, the two new crossing points at Deryneia and Lefka-Apliki are added to the list of approved crossing points of the Green Line.
