Part of the false ceiling in the multipurpose room of the Primary School of Fotis Pittas in Dasaki of Achna, suddenly collapsed at 12:45 on Tuesday afternoon. Workers were carrying out maintenance work when, under unknown circumstances, the false ceiling collapsed. Fortunately, there were no school children in the room at that time.
The incident happened during the last period and the children were in their classrooms. An expert from the Labor Inspection Office arrived at the scene and investigated the incident together with the SBA Dhekelia Police. The inspectors and the Famagusta District Education Office were informed about this.
