Asked about this, Fanos Leventis said that businessmen in Ayia Napa consider "Bar Crawling" as a compensation with which they can "catch" tourists in specific places.

"It is not illegal for businessmen to attract tourism, but the code of conduct should be respected and they should offer alcohol in moderation to avoid diversions," he said.

As he explained, he had a meeting with the president of CTO Angelos Loizou on 22.07.2015 where the problems that concern the Industry were discussed and the most appropriate ways to deal with them were discussed.

The commitment of both sides was that they will take whatever action is needed together to solve the serious problems faced by the tourism industry.

The next step, he added, is to arrange a meeting with Interior Minister Socrates Hasikos as well as with Justice Minister Ionas Nikolaou.

Finally, Fanos Leventis, clarified that PASIKA is not able to take action on the issue of "Bar Crawling" but if asked for help from the Association can help by giving advice and informing entrepreneurs.
