Last Saturday morning there was another episode in the thriller, causing an outburst of anger in the world and in the community leader of Avgoros, Panagiotis Michailas.
It was early in the morning, when on Famagusta Avenue (which leads to Frenaros), the road receded at a point on the road through which a sewer pipe passed and which was then covered with gravel and asphalt.
Initially, a bus managed to pass, but then three private vehicles fell into the large hole that was opened in the road, resulting in various damages of hundreds of euros, in tires, wheels, balls and other places.
In his statements, the mayor Panagiotis Michailas stressed that all drivers who suffered the bad experience of the road receding while driving carelessly and suffer damage will be compensated by their insurance, which will then contact the Department of Water, which is legally responsible for this issue.
Regarding the broader issue of restoration of defects, Mr. Michailas said that very soon the Water Department will submit its final proposals to the community.
