The fire in Famagusta destroyed only wild vegetation, Turkish Cypriots say

The causes of the fire that broke out on Friday in the area of ​​Deryneia and spread to the occupied enclosed city of Famagusta have not yet been determined, according to a statement from the illegal Ministry of Interior.

The fire, as reported, has destroyed wild vegetation and trees in an area of ​​1000 meters wide and 600 meters long. According to the announcement, the 28 uninhabited houses, five apartments and two houses under construction within the fire zone have not been affected. According to reports in the Turkish Cypriot press, efforts to completely extinguish the fire continued on Sunday. The fire has been completely extinguished and protection zones are being set up in the area. It is also reported that the "civil defense", the "fire brigade", members of the so-called police, soldiers of the occupying army, two helicopters of the British Bases and a helicopter from the Turkey.
