The SotiraNews presents you the profile of the two gladiators. George Takkas: Sotira is changing… “With our recent decision to upgrade our community to a Municipality, we have taken a big step towards the development and progress of our local community. The needs and the way of administration of the Savior change radically, creating important opportunities but also obligations for all of us.

That is why the electoral contest on December 18 is perhaps the most important for the Savior society. Because in the upcoming elections we no longer vote for a common leader. We are voting for a mayor, who must have the knowledge, experience and assertiveness to represent us worthily and effectively, vis-.-Vis the central government, the Union of Municipalities, but also in Brussels, from where we will now seek EU development funds.

We can not afford not to start right. The task we are called to carry out is difficult and we must, from the very first day, lay a solid foundation.

The first municipal council will be called upon to draw up a five-year business action plan, which will identify the priority projects, actions and interventions needed for the economic development of the Savior and the quality of life of its citizens, within the framework of a proper economic and social planning.

In a systematic and organized way, with steady and sure steps, the first municipal council will breathe new life into the development of the municipality. With hard work and collective effort, we will achieve our vision of a new Savior, of which we and our children will be proud.

The administration of our new Municipality will be based on the pillars of justice, responsibility, meritocracy and respect for every citizen.

Having served our community for fifteen years, I believe I have the knowledge, skills, and experience to lead the effort we all make together to lead the Savior into the new age. ”
