According to the Police, a secretary of the Famagusta General Hospital complained to the TAE that on 01/10/2015 he was presented to the Accident and Emergency Department of the Hospital, an unknown foreigner for treatment.

The foreigner immediately underwent surgery and was hospitalized until 07/10/2015 with the cost of his treatment amounting to three thousand and 17 euros.

However, it was found that the information that the stranger gave to the Hospital upon his admission was false. Shortly before one o'clock yesterday at noon, he was arrested at the General Hospital of Famagusta for the crime of illegal stay in the Republic.

During the interrogation he made a voluntary testimony and admitted that he presented himself on 01/10/2015 at the hospital and gave false information because he was illegal in Cyprus and did not have a medical card.

The case is being investigated by the Famagusta Police Department.
