The strangers then stole eight small lambs and four larger ones. The thieves then stabbed seven ewes with a specific method in the neck. That is, with a vertical knife that causes paralysis in the animal and slow death. Five ewes were found dead by the owner and two paralyzed in a pool of blood.
The owner of the mantra, Pampos Andreou from Dasaki Achnas, despite the shock he suffered, went to the Dhekelia Police and reported the case. The paddock was cordoned off for several hours by Base Police, who called in experts to look into how the seven ewes were slaughtered, as well as how the dogs were brutally abused and killed. According to Andreou, no one suspects the case, while as he stated, the damage to the sheep exceeds ten thousand euros, while the value of a wolf-guard dog, which was a breed, is estimated at around five thousand euros.
The Bases are investigating the serious case, but until then the investigations were in the dark. It is noted that the perpetrators, before committing the heinous crime and the theft of the animals, also neutralized power lines with which the owner protected his property. The element that concerns the Police is the cold and ruthless way in which the strangers acted against sheep and dogs.
