These are the most addictive substances on the planet

There has been a lot of research from time to time on what the most addictive drugs are and one of them is by neuropharmacology professor David Nutt. So he came up with the 5 substances that cause the most addiction.
 Who are they;

Heroin
Experts place it at the top of addictive drugs. It is an opiate drug, which belongs to the category of hard because of the extremely high point of addiction that it causes while it is also sedative. When administered to the body it can increase dopamine levels by up to 200%. What makes it extremely dangerous is the fact that it can cause death if the dose is a little higher than what is required to "fix" someone.

Cocaine
It is also known as the "drug of the rich" and is one of the most sought after substances in Europe and the US at the moment. It is a crystalline tropanoid alkaloid obtained from the leaves of the coca plant, while its name comes from the name of the plant along with the alkaloid suffix -ini. Cocaine directly interferes with the use of dopamine by the brain by transmitting messages from one neuron to another. In practice, this means that the user feels a brief but intense "fix" which is followed by an intense feeling of depression, nervousness and longing, usually for more drugs. Users often do not eat and do not sleep normally. Cocaine is also the source of crack, which is considered the third most destructive drug for the body. Be that as it may, every cocaine derivative is extremely addictive even after just one use, while 21% of users are addicted.

Nicotine
It is the main addictive substance in tobacco. When you smoke, nicotine is rapidly absorbed by the lungs and "delivered" from there to the brain. Two out of three people who try to smoke end up addicted to cigarettes, and it is estimated that more than 8.000.000 people will have died by 2030 from related diseases.

Barbiturates
It is a class of drugs that were originally used to treat anxiety and fight insomnia. What they do is "close" various areas of the brain. In low doses barbiturates cause euphoria, but in high doses they can be fatal because they suppress breathing. Addiction to barbiturates was very common in the past as they were easily accessible by prescription.
