The Information Office of the European Parliament in Cyprus, the Office of the Environment Commissioner and the Cyprus Association for Sustainable Tourism are organizing the day "Green Beaches: A Prerequisite for Sustainable Tourism in Cyprus".
The meeting will take place on Friday, April 28, 2017, 10:30 - 12:30, at the Nissi Beach Hotel in Ayia Napa.
Speakers at the first part of the meeting will be MEP Eleni Theocharous (ESM), Ioanna Panagiotou, Environment Commissioner and Filippos Drousiotis, President of the Cyprus Association for Sustainable Tourism. In the second part of the day there will be a beach cleaning campaign.
Greetings will be addressed by the Mayor of Ayia Napa, Giannis Karousos and the Head of the Information Office of the European Parliament, Andreas Kettis.
The event is under the auspices of the Honorable Mayor of Ayia Napa and is held with the support of the Cyprus Tourism Organization, the Open University of Cyprus and the Association of Environmental Engineers of Cyprus.
