The leaders of Russia, Germany and France agreed in a telephone conversation today to expedite the exchange of data on the fight against terrorism, the Kremlin said.
According to Reuters, the three leaders spoke after yesterday's deadly bombing of a subway train in St. Petersburg, Russia's second largest city, which killed 14 people and injured 50 others.
The Kremlin said the leaders also discussed the situation in Ukraine and the Easter truce that took effect on April 1st.
A German government source said: "Merkel called on Putin to use his influence on the separatists (to maintain the April 1 ceasefire)."
The Kremlin added that Putin, Merkel and Hollande had agreed to continue their contacts on Ukraine.
